Cheapest 25K Futures Prop Firm in 2026: True Cost to Your First Payout

Written and fact-checked by the Funded Futures Family team. Every price below was read from the firm’s own pricing page or help center on September 4, 2026. We refresh this table monthly and note the date in the caption. Funded Futures Family is our own firm; it is scored on the same columns as everyone else.

As of September 4, 2026, the lowest total cost to reach a funded 25K futures account among the nine plans we checked is Funded Futures Family Velocity at $11.85 with the 85% promo code and no activation fee. At list price, Velocity and Lucid Flex tie at $79. The most expensive route is Take Profit Trader at list, $280, because its $130 activation fee sits on top of a $150 evaluation. Sticker price and true cost are different numbers. The table adds them up.

Cost to first payout, 25K plans, verified September 4, 2026

“Cost to first payout” is the evaluation price you pay today (the promo price when the firm publishes one on its own site, otherwise list) plus the activation or funded-account fee. Every plan here can be passed inside one billing period, so no plan needs a second month at minimum. Resets are excluded because they depend on you.

25K futures evaluations, cheapest first by promo cost. Prices in USD, read from each firm’s site on September 4, 2026. Promo codes rotate; the checkout is the final word.

Two firms are missing on purpose. Topstep has no 25K account; its smallest is 50K at $49 promo or $85 list plus a $149 activation fee, so $198 promo and $234 list. Bulenox sells a 25K evaluation at $145 but does not publish its activation fee or its promo amount on its own site, so we cannot put a verified number in the table. Ask them before you buy.

Why the promo column and the list column disagree

Prop firm pricing runs on rotating codes. On the day we checked, Funded Futures Family, Tradeify, MyFundedFutures, Phidias, Apex and Take Profit Trader all showed a code on their own homepage. Lucid showed a code without a price. Alpha Futures showed none. A code can expire tomorrow, or its use count can run out, and the page you are reading will not know. That is why the list column exists: it is the price you fall back to when the code is gone.

The order changes between the two columns. By promo, Velocity leads at $11.85 and Apex sits sixth because its $59 activation fee is larger than its $16.70 evaluation. By list, Velocity and Lucid tie at $79, Tradeify Growth is fourth at $99, and Apex and Take Profit Trader move to the bottom because their activation fees do not discount.

The activation fee is the number that hides

An activation fee is billed after you pass, when you move to the funded account. It does not appear on most pricing cards. In this group, Apex charges $59 on its 25K intraday product and Take Profit Trader charges $130 unless you use its NOFEE40 code, which waives the fee for life. Topstep charges $149 on its 50K. The other six plans charge nothing. On a $12 evaluation, a $59 activation fee is five times the price you thought you were paying.

If you want to run the numbers on any firm, including resets and the consistency rule, use our prop firm true-cost calculator.

Cheap on the way in, expensive on the way out

Price to pass is one half of the cost. The other half is how much of your profit you can take on the first payout, and what the consistency rule lets you keep. Velocity’s $11.85 comes with an intraday trailing drawdown of $1,250, a 40% consistency rule on the funded account, and a $750 cap on the first payout. The paid daily-payout add-on ($29 a month at 25K) removes the funded consistency rule and lowers the cap to $600. Phidias has no consistency rule and no minimum days, and its first “payout” is a fixed $1,000 bonus at 80/20. Take Profit Trader has no cap and no consistency rule on the funded account, and the highest list price in the table. Every cheap plan is paying for its price somewhere else. The column that matters is the one that matches how you trade.

Where Funded Futures Family stands

Velocity 25K is our lowest-priced plan and, on the day we checked, the lowest total cost to a funded 25K account in this table at both promo and list price. It gets there with the stricter drawdown model (intraday trailing), a 40% consistency rule at both stages unless you add daily payouts, and a $750 first-payout cap. If a consistency rule wrecks your style, Premier+ with Fast Pass has none on the evaluation (funded accounts from September 9, 2026 carry a 40% rule), at $114 a month intraday or $144 end-of-day, with payouts capped at 50% of profit per request. No FFF plan charges an activation fee. The full rule set is on the rules explainer, and payout totals are published monthly on the payout data page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest futures prop firm for a 25K account?

On September 4, 2026, the lowest total cost to a funded 25K account among the nine plans we verified was Funded Futures Family Velocity at $11.85 with the 85% code and no activation fee. At list price, Velocity and Lucid Flex tie at $79. Tradeify Growth is $50 with its code and $99 at list. Apex’s $16.70 evaluation becomes $75.70 once its $59 activation fee is added. Promo codes rotate, so check the firm’s checkout on the day you buy and compare the total, not the evaluation price alone.

Which futures prop firms have no activation fee?

Among the plans in this table, Funded Futures Family, Tradeify, MyFundedFutures, Phidias (one-time payment path), Lucid and Alpha Futures Zero charge no activation fee. Apex charges $59 on its 25K intraday product and Take Profit Trader charges $130 unless its NOFEE40 code is used. Topstep charges $149 on its smallest account, which is 50K. Some firms also sell a no-activation variant at a higher evaluation price, so read the plan card rather than the homepage banner.

Does a cheaper evaluation mean a worse funded account?

Often, yes, in one specific way: the cheapest evaluations tend to use intraday trailing drawdown, a consistency rule on the funded account, and a lower first-payout cap. Velocity, the cheapest plan here, has all three. Plans with fewer restrictions on the funded side, such as Take Profit Trader PRO or Premier+ Fast Pass, cost more up front. Decide which restriction you can live with, then compare prices inside that group.

How often is this table updated?

Monthly. We fetch each firm’s pricing page and help center, record the date in the caption, and change the rows if a price, fee or rule has moved. If a code has expired between our check and your visit, the list column is the price you will pay. If you find a number that has changed, email marketing@fundedfuturesfamily.com and we will re-verify it.
