FFF Velocity (Daily Add-On) vs Lucid Daily (2026): Daily Payout Plans Compared

Writer

Funded Futures Family Team

Comparison chart of FFF Velocity vs Lucid Daily: news trading allowed on Velocity, daily payouts and intraday trailing on both, 40% vs 50% evaluation consistency, Velocity from $45 with code FFF

Facts checked August 16, 2026. FFF numbers come from the live Velocity plan page and help center. Lucid numbers come from lucidtrading.com and their support center on the same date. Terms move at both firms, so verify at checkout.

Short answer: both plans get you a daily-payout funded account on intraday trailing drawdown with no funded consistency rule. Lucid Daily is a one-time fee and has no per-request payout cap once you clear the buffer, which are real advantages. Velocity with the Daily Payout Add-On answers with news trading fully allowed (Lucid Daily hard-breaches you for trading USD red-folder news), bigger contract limits, and payouts that land in hours instead of days. If you trade the calendar, this comparison ends at the news rule. If you don’t, price it out both ways.

Where Lucid Daily genuinely wins

The payout formula. Once a Lucid Daily account clears its buffer (max loss limit plus $100, so $2,100 on a 50K), everything above that line is withdrawable with no per-request cap. Velocity’s add-on caps each request at $600–$2,500 and requires a fresh profit target between payouts. A trader printing steadily on a 50K keeps more available per request at Lucid, full stop.

The entry cost also favors Lucid: a one-time fee of roughly $65–$270 depending on options against a monthly subscription, and their evaluation targets are lower with a choice of drawdown model that Velocity doesn’t offer. Lucid’s dashboard is real-time and activation follows within about half an hour of passing. Fair is fair.

Where Velocity pulls ahead

News trading. Lucid Daily hard-breaches a funded account that holds or opens positions from one minute before to one minute after USD high-impact news. CPI mornings, FOMC afternoons, NFP Fridays: either you’re flat or your account is gone. FFF lets you trade all of it. For a daily-payout plan aimed at active traders, that one rule can settle the whole decision.

Velocity also runs deeper size, 15 minis at 150K against Lucid’s 10, and there’s no daily profit ceiling. Lucid moves you to live automatically once you print $6,000–$12,000 in a day; at FFF a monster day just counts toward your next payout. And the cash arrives faster: instant approvals with funds landing in hours, against up to 2 business days at Lucid. One receipt on our reviews page shows a Velocity 50K first payout approved in five minutes.

The cost math

With code FFF, the 25K Velocity with add-on is $45 a month right now, against roughly $65–$85 one-time for a 25K Lucid Daily. Pass fast and the totals land close together; take three months and Lucid’s single payment wins the cost column. Run both checkouts on the day you decide.

Which one fits you

Pick Lucid Daily if you avoid news windows anyway, want one payment, and like uncapped requests above a fixed buffer. Pick Velocity with the Daily Add-On if you trade news, want bigger size, and value same-day money. The firm-level breakdown is at Lucid vs FFF challenge rules, and the full payout mechanics for every FFF plan are on the payout speed page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I trade news on these plans?

On FFF Velocity, yes, news trading is allowed on every FFF plan. On Lucid Daily’s funded account, no: holding or opening positions from 1 minute before to 1 minute after USD high-impact news is a hard breach that ends the account.

Which plan has the better payout structure?

Depends on your profit pattern. Lucid Daily has no per-request cap above its buffer (max loss + $100) but a $500 minimum and up to 2 business days processing. Velocity’s add-on caps requests at $600–$2,500 by size but approves instantly with funds landing in hours, no minimum listed, and no daily profit ceiling.

What does the Velocity Daily Add-On actually change?

It adds $29–$69 per month and does two things: payout eligibility becomes daily instead of every 3 trading days, and the 40% funded consistency rule is removed entirely. The profit requirement between payouts stays.

Is Lucid Daily cheaper than Velocity?

For longer evaluations, yes: it’s a one-time fee (roughly $65–$270 at their August 2026 checkout depending on options) against Velocity’s monthly billing. But with code FFF, Velocity with the add-on is currently $45–$134 a month, so a fast pass can cost less at FFF. Compare both checkouts on the day.
